Design

Every cake we make is individually designed for your special occasion. 

Any cake ordered from a picture or photo of a cake produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced as our interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact reproduction of the cake in the picture or photo. 

Customer is responsible for checking spellings and details given when booking. 

Allergens

We can provide cakes baked without nuts and many other allergens. However, due to the fact that all our cakes are prepared and baked in the same kitchen, we cannot guarantee any product will be completely free of traces of a defined allergen. A such we do not accept liability for any illness.

Price

Costs are agreed in the order process, this is the final and total price for the agreed design. 

Any amendments to the design that incur additional costs will be agreed by both parties in writing. 

Deposits

We require a non-refundable deposit for all cakes at the time of ordering. A date can only be reserved once the deposit is received. This deposit is non-refundable and is deducted from the final balance payable. 

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order please give us 7 days notice. 

If for any reason Slice of Fun are unable to fulfill your order for example due to illness then a full refund will be given and assistance in sourcing new supplier will be given where possible. 

Payment

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or card. We are unable to release our cakes without full payment. 

Collection

Cakes are to be collected from our premises at a prearranged time and date only. 

When driving your cake home the safest place is to pop it in a footwell (Make sure you turn heat vents off!) or flat in the boot. Refunds will not be given for cakes damaged during transit, unless caused by a structural issue with the cake itself. 

Storage

Fondant (the firm icing covering the cake) is not designed to be refrigerated and as such cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably in the box they were supplied in, refrigeration may cause colours to run. 

Buttercream cakes without decoration can be stored in the fridge or a cool place. However be sure to bring them out of the fridge a few hours before serving, cold cake can taste dry. 

Cupcakes dry out much quicker than covered cakes so it is recommended to transfer them into an airtight container for storage if you are not eating them by the next day. 

All cakes have a shelf-life of two days from collection, after this point they will start to dry out and not taste as good. Once sliced store any leftovers over in an airtight container. If you have lots of leftover cake it can be frozen for up to three months. 

Disputes

Please check you are happy with the cake on collection/ delivery, it is much easier to make any corrections straight away. If there is an issue with the cake please contact us asap, wherever possible we will try to fix the issue. 

Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. 

Photography and Social Media

We reserve the right to use photographs of orders we prepare on our website and social media pages. If you would like to specifically request that we do not use pictures of your order please let us know at the time of ordering. 

Resale

All goods supplied are not suitable for resale. If you wish to order for resale for example as a shop/ café I would be happy to help, please drop me a message. 

Liability

Slice of Fun Cakes total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price paid by the customer for the goods supplied by Slice of Fun Cakes. 

Your statuary rights are not affected by any statement contained in these terms and Conditions.
